Here are some common questions about our company.
Not when you choose for Corlutoins. It is required to pay the prepayment only. The other hours are invoiced at the end of the month.
- Odoo Online: your best choice when there is limited custom fuctionality. In most cases it is best to start with this subscription.
- Odoo SH: recommended when there is more custom code functionality.
- On-Premise: generally not recommended
- Odoo SH is recommended over On-Premise to avoid server management issues.
- On-premise offers the same capabilities as Odoo.SH, but server management is often the main challenge. These are key questions to be considered when you consider on-premise hosting:
- What’s the added value of running on-premise? (e.g. sensitive data, computing power, system integrations)
- Who ensures data security and reliability?
- Customers fully own their data with Online, SH, and On-prem.
- What’s the incident response plan?
- Odoo provides limited support in case of On-Premise (no direct DB access).
- A monthly contract is not possible for on-premise licenses.
- Odoo online
- An additional user can be considered.
- The alternatives to purchasing an additional user:
- Share a user with Corlutions in the beginning of project (= recommended.)
- Share a user with Corlutions using 2-factor login. With the second confirmation done by the client.
- Password sharing via an online app in a way that Corlutions does not see the password.
- It's also possible regularly give temporarily access (via unarchive and archive of a user). This is more complex as a 'ping' to the database is recommended after the unarchive. The 'ping' is done automatically once per day, but it is still to verify.
- From 10 to 15 users, an additional user for Corlutions is recommended.
- Odoo.SH / Odoo On Prem
- No additional user is needed for Corlutions. Corlutions can access the database via the main user's account.
- Odoo online : no additional user needed. The accountant gets free access.
- Odoo.sh / On-premise : an additional user is needed depending on.
- Ideal scenario : work with an accountant that also processes the accounting entries in Odoo. Why? The most practical way to share documents with the accountant. Also, you can access yourself verify useful accounting reports in Odoo.
- Another options is to share your documents once per month by exporting from Odoo to for example a google-drive.
- Another option is to always put your accountant in CC when you send an invoice via Odoo to your customer. This way the accountant can immediately book the invoices.
Keep in mind that Odoo replaces many other apps that are perfectly integrated.
